Requirements
- qualified to degree level, preferably in chemical engineering, with substantial experience in chemical operations leadership
- previous experience managing significant teams, and experience in leading a unionized workforce
- experience of issuing high level entry and fire permits in a chemical plant environment is essential
- NEBOSH certificate
- experience of working in a Lower Tier COMAH environment is preferable
Responsibility
- manage relationships with external organizations, as well as union negotiations and consultations for the UK site
- manage Electrolyte Manufacturing Team: Oversee the UK site operations in compliance with company and legal SHE standards, ensuring team competency
- performance Management: Achieve targets in SHE, output, cost, and quality for the UK site's manufacturing operations
- safe Control of Work: including permitting, isolation standards, and high-level leadership of entry and fire permit requirements
- compliance and Relationship Management: Ensure implementation and adherence to engineering legislation, company standards, and site's asset strategy
