Responsibility

  • taking ownership for full product development and engineering activities within Microplate Dx
  • ensure R&D projects are managed appropriately, including goal-setting, progress tracking, budgeting, identifying risks and providing suitable risk mitigation strategies
  • taking responsibility for product life cycle management, including identification of areas for both incremental and transformational product enhancements
  • technical oversight, mentoring guidance and training

Responsibility

  • work with manufacturing development partner to deliver a high-throughput prototype cartridge
  • devise & implement suitable assay development strategy including hydrogel development as required for bespoke ‘RUO’ application areas
  • design and help integrate the cartridge with suitable electronics to enable electrochemical interrogation
  • optimise electrochemical interrogation processes
  • modify or develop automated measurement routines to allow high-throughput measurement of antibiotic susceptibility across an array of sensors
  • create methods for transferring the recorded data into relevant data acquisition software
  • create reports and presentations to update colleagues and wider stakeholders on progress
  • aid commercial team with identification of opportunities and commercialisation of RUO setup
