Responsibility
- individual Contributor and overseeing the design process
- player/coach, but not sitting on a particular team
- leads and sets the benchmark for the design thinking and visual design aspects of the Product
- is the torchbearer for UX consistency and quality across the team
- involved in strategic, high impact projects at all points in the process
- mentors Product Designers and acts as an internal advocate for design in the company
- advocate for a need and importance of user-centred design across the company
- ensure that there is creative consistency across the product and the marketing brand materials
Requirements
- demonstrated experience with end-to-end product design across iOS, Android and Web
- has experience and a history of developing concise and simple solutions to complex UX/Product Design problems
- ability to create and maintain a Design Library to refine UX and UI consistency across multiple devices and features
- ability to execute on visual and interaction details
- love working with other designers to help them learn and grow—and have them help you learn and grow
- experience with planning and facilitating user research sessions to better understand our customers, and turn insights into actions that drive the product direction
- an intrinsic collaborator that oozes high energy enthusiasm
- passion for language learning is a plus to better understand and appreciate our user needs
