Responsibility
- we are looking for a nursery nurse to join our happy and enthusiastic nursery
- we are currently recruiting for a passionate and curious Room Leader in our Toddler room
- we aim to recruit a highly motivated room leader who is very keen to help with the development of children
- we are a private organic, sustainable bilingual speaking nursery located in Roath that look after children from 6 weeks to 5 years old giving them a homely, family atmosphere to learn and play
- we are implementing the principles of The Curiosity Approach, bringing curiosity, awe and wonder into early years and creating the 'thinkers and doers' of the future
- to have specific training/knowledge of working with the specific age group in order to support their individual needs
- to line manage the team working in their room and ensuring their team follows all Nursery processes
- we have a part-time position available, Tuesday to Thursday. We are part of the real living wage movement and therefore salary is above the average for childcare workers
Education
- certificate of Higher Education
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2/3, CACHE Level 2/3, CCLD level 2/3 in care, education and development of children
- experience working in a nursery
- excellent communication skills with children, staff and parents
- excellent observational skills
- organisational skills with the ability to work on own initiative
- childcare: 1 year
