- know how to mix drinks and make recommendations based on customer preferences and tastes
- manage the bar during a shift by organizing and cleaning up
- ensure the bar's cleanliness during business hours, take out the trash, give the floors a vacuum, and sweep the counter
- keep track of purchases for accounting purposes
