We’ve had Mark do a number of jobs for us. An outside office, our kitchen and our en-suite.

He has always done a fantastic job and is very professional, guides you through the whole process and manages the suppliers very well.

We will continue to use his company for other work.

I felt very lucky to find MDJ after many poor experiences prior with people not turning up and poor service.

Mark looks after our rental properties carrying out all aspects of work including fitting new kitchens and bathrooms new fencing and general maintenance.
He has also completed a conversion to our garage making it a one bedroom apartment for my son, he has fitted a disability shower to my 93 year old stepfathers property as well as ramps inside and out this has really improved his quality of life.
I have found Mark to be very professional and controls all aspects of the work, arranging other trades and seeing the jobs to completion. Mark is obviously a Carpenter by trade as his skill set is very high level.
As a family we have had No issues over the 5 years we have known Mark.

When we moved in to our house in August 2025, the house needed complete renovation. We were lucky enough to have Mark recommended to us by a new neighbour. On meeting Mark for the first time, we were impressed by his ‘can do attitude’ and his ideas on how best to achieve our goals.
Mark has been working at our house since October 2025 and is now finishing in July 2026. In that time, floors have been levelled, boiler moved, improvements to existing extension, new ceilings, extensive plastering, new upstairs and downstairs bathrooms, windows moved, internal wall removed, new roof to extension – with larger rooflight, soil stack and other drainage moved, new kitchen installed after levelling walls, built in wardrobes and cupboard, new shelving, new flooring, fencing, replaced patio on two levels and created a third patio. Mark’s communications and organisation skills are absolutely exceptional. Mark always checked with us to ensure we were happy with the works progress and always consulted and advised us if any issues arose. Mark project managed the whole process and organised all trades including plasterer, electrician, heating engineers, window fitters, flooring trades, kitchen suppliers and six skips.
Throughout the works, we were living in the house but Mark’s organisation and communication skills meant any inconvenience was kept to a minimum. Mark worked exclusively for us during the whole period of the works, not disappearing like other builders we have experienced. Mark was prompt every day and always informed us if he had to go off for further supplies etc.
If Mark is available, I urge you to employ him, you will not find better.

Mark worked on my bungalow recently. I would not employ his services again. He does have a good set of tradespeople to call upon, but unfortunately one of his plasterers didnt do a good job at all resulting in me having to put this right and some of the electric sockets weren't put in straight and one didn't have the right box on my wall for a 3 way switch. Mark lacks communication and project management skills unfortunately which let him down and resulted in me ceasing work with him on my project as his communication style lacks respect for the customer and isn't professional. Mark is now very disgruntled that I challenged paying him £700 for plastering works not finished, and he has now submitted a CCJ against me for £2,300. So beware of using this business.
