Responsibility

  • take vehicle measurements, using tape measure and gas gauge, and compare to specifications in service manual
  • record oil levels, using dipstick and other measurement devices
  • determine the nature of a problem with the vehicle
  • disassemble and reassemble parts of a vehicle
  • communicate clearly with customers
  • communicate with other mechanics and technicians
  • use tools, including wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers
  • to do all aspects of a mot tester
