Responsibility
- act as a focal point for spiritual and pastoral care in our establishments
- provide inspirational leadership and vision to the team
- provide pastoral counselling services to SUs going through personal and emotional challenges

- work collaboratively and respectfully in a multi-denominational, multi-faith and diverse environment
- ensure the SPC team is fulfilling their basic duties and tasks at their allocated sites
- facilitate and deliver opportunities for worship, study and spiritual programmes
- responsible for close liaison with the head office through the department lead
- contribute towards the development of policy, procedures and practice in regards to spiritual and pastoral care
- ensure any tasks delegated by the department head are completed in a timely manner
- facilitate and where appropriate lead worship and prayer/faith specific meetings
- provide consistent and high quality Operational & Customer service at all times
- provide pastoral care to SUs and provide support and bring resolution to crisis situations where required
- develop and maintain professional relationship with Service Users/Guests
- nurture and coordinate pastoral volunteers in their contribution to the spiritual wellbeing of the SUs
- be friendly and approachable at all times
- to serve and empower Service Users to heal and manage their trauma and challenges through the development and exploration of spiritual and faith-based values
- work collaboratively with other welfare staff on the maintenance and provision of facilities for spiritual care and religious provision
- complete weekly and monthly reports and ensure compliance with housing contract requirements
- ensure our establishments are aware of relevant events internally or externally and coordinate support and participation
- responsible for ensuring that accurate assessments/reports/and files are completed in a timely manner and are up to date
- acquire, vet and distribute appropriate religious literature, supplies and materials ensuring they do not go against wider company policy
- to undertake general administrative duties, including correspondence, emails, filing and to ensure the smooth running of the team's operations
- contribute to training programmes and materials for staff on issues relating to religion, culture and welfare
- to undertake any other ad-hoc duties relevant to the post, as and when required
- attend relevant meetings and actively contribute to them
- ensuring the best accommodation experience of all Guests

- to build strong relationships with SUs in order to promote excellence in spiritual and pastoral care
Requirements
- hold recognised training, qualification or endorsement from the relevant faith community
- listen attentively to what an individual is saying
- demonstrate empathy
