Responsibility

  • develop and scale engineering best practices across the organization through automation, auditability, automated testing, infrastructure and policy as code
  • deliver the tooling and capabilities needed to enable application engineers to develop software according to our cloud first strategy
  • we are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join our Cloud and Developer Services team
  • this team is responsible for enabling application engineers to create cloud-native, global products and accelerating our application modernization plans
  • provide developer-friendly cloud onboarding, account creation and management
  • ensure least privileged access to our cloud platforms to enable a zero-trust environment
  • being passionate about developer efficiency, reducing development toil, and automating as much of the development process as possible is critical
  • focus on improving the user experience and iteratively working towards higher degrees of usability

Requirements

  • knowledge/Experience
  • familiarity with Automation and DevSecOps Pipeline tools like Ansible, Maven, Gradle, Chef, Puppet, Terraform, and CloudFormation
  • comprehensive understanding of CICD and experience with building and deploying pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions
  • real world experience with distributed systems, especially containers and Kubernetes; and experience with both cloud and on-premises Kubernetes deployments
  • experience managing a multi-account AWS Organization and leveraging SSO, IAM, and networking
  • advanced level of Linux OS and scripting skills
  • 7 – 10 years minimum of progressive software development experience, with 3+ years in Cloud and DevOps roles
  • strong knowledge and experience with service-oriented architecture and event streaming and caching platforms
