Responsibility
- plan, organize, and coordinate a variety of activities for residents in a care facility
- develop and implement activity programs that promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being
- assess individual resident needs and preferences to create personalized activity plans
- coordinate and lead group activities such as games, crafts, exercise classes, and outings
- collaborate with other staff members to ensure a safe and engaging environment for residents
- maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress
- communicate regularly with residents' families to provide updates on activities and engage their input
Requirements
- previous experience in a similar role preferred
- knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and techniques
- familiarity with the needs and abilities of individuals in a care setting
- strong organizational and time management skills
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work effectively as part of a team
