Responsibility
- the company is looking to recruit a storesperson to join their successful business based in Wellington, and near Chard, Somerset
- the role is a full-time permanent position with the company, working 39 hours a week over 4.5 days
- competitive remuneration, dependent upon experience and ability
- the company’s primary activities involve the design, manufacture, supply, and servicing of specialist FMCG machinery. Reporting to the technical director, the successful candidate will ideally have previous experience as a storesperson
- working alongside the senior storeman and storeman in the goods inwards/despatch and stores areas, the successful candidate will be responsible for receiving deliveries, packing and despatching orders, using MRP software and bespoke internal software, offloading and loading of deliveries using counterbalance forklift trucks with 1.5-tonne, 2-tonne and 8-tonne lift capacity, as well as other general duties within these departments
- delivery and collection of goods to and from local suppliers
- sorting and returning to stock, items returned from projects
- maintaining accurate stock records via MRP software and in-house bespoke software

Requirements
- counterbalance forklift truck certification
- computer literate
- conscientious, meticulous, numerate, and attentive to detail
- previous experience in a stores environment will be beneficial
- for fleet insurance reasons, the successful candidate must be 21 years or older to drive company commercial vehicles
