Responsibility
- enforcing premises license conditions
- procuring, securing and maintaining the best supplier and stocking deals
- creative and savvy Cafe and Bar drinks Menu creation and implementation
- full financial responsibility across forecasting, opex control, menu pricing, pour cost, profit margin and financial reporting
- driving sales and revenue with a focus on creating sales opportunities in tandem with the events programme
- full Management & accountability for venue operations - ensuring hygiene, security, maintenance, health & safety, risk assessments and fire safety standards are second to none
- working closely with the Events team to manage the events calendar, planning, booking and scheduling all events well in advance
- working closely with the upper workspace floors MAKE IT Barking General Manager to coordinate teams across cleaning, security, waste collection and maintenance
Requirements
- experience not only running an outstanding venue but leading on menu curation and stock choices too
- proven ability to maximize both revenue and profit
- thorough and senior management understanding of pre-planning across stock ordering, menu costings, staff management and operational strategy
- experience managing teams of duty managers, bar tenders, event staff, security, sound and lighting technicians
- experience preparing and implementing management reports
- senior Management: 5 years
- experience in delivering high standard and detailed bar and venue operating procedures including opening and closing and adhering to licensed premises objectives
