Responsibility
- place purchase orders, check order confirmations match our requirements, and resolve any queries with the supplier
- accurately process sales orders received externally and through EDI following through to despatching status
- communicate to key areas of the business material issues or shortages
- advise all relevant stakeholders in a timely manner, of any issues arising that cannot be rectified
- control and manage raw materials nearing expiry
- acting as first point of contact for sales orders & customers
- represent the Purchasing function at meetings where required, both internal and with suppliers
- liaising between suppliers, relevant internal departments and customers
