To manufacture traditional, high-quality kilts in a modern and friendly factory environment with full training given.Principal Duties1. Checking to ensure that all material provided meets the required standard prior to any cutting/processing taking place.2. Machine sewing duties in all aspects of Highland wear production and including attaching labels and hemming of goods and samples.3. Hand sewing duties in all aspects of Highland wear production4. Cut and mark out the fabric to the required length and specification as per the work sheet.5. Assist in preparing the marked kilts and accompanying documentation for dispatch to the sewing department.6. To maintain a clean and tidy work area to prevent the soiling of fabric.7. To assist in the maintenance of a safe working environment through the strict adherenceto the company health and safety rules and procedures.- 2 -Other DutiesThe post holder will be required to perform duties appropriate to the post, other than those given in this job description.
