legal secretary

Responsibility

  • provide comprehensive administrative support to solicitors and legal teams
  • manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments for legal staff
  • conduct audio typing of legal documents and transcriptions with accuracy
  • maintain an organised filing system for both electronic and paper documents
  • communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties to facilitate information flow
  • assist in the preparation of case files and ensure all necessary documentation is available for court proceedings
  • handle confidential information with discretion and maintain professional integrity at all times

Requirements

  • strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • excellent time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • previous experience in a legal setting is advantageous but not essential
  • demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • familiarity with audio typing is preferred but training can be provided for the right candidate
  • administrative: 2 years
