Responsibility
- provide effective delivery of Quantity Surveying services across a wide range of market sectors
- developing cost estimates, budgets and forecasts
- support Senior Quantity Surveyors on complex multi-faceted projects
- preparing and submitting tenders
- provide support to our QS Team Leader as required
- assessing and negotiating tender costs
- preparing and issuing contracts
- MGR's client specialising in bespoke joinery and Commercial Fit out, this can range across a variety of high profile clients giving their Quantity Surveyors a diverse and exciting workload
Education
- bachelor's
Requirements
- A relevant construction related qualification and/or working towards professional membership of recognised institutions ie. CIOB or RICS
- degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Engineering or related field
- an understanding of both pre-and post-contract quantity surveying responsibilities, and be able to deliver this service effectively to Clients
- RICS qualification
- experience in a manufacturing environment
- an understanding of current construction tools and initiatives such as BIM and Project soft-landings
- knowledge of Frameworks from a Civil, Water or Industrial background
- highly organized and detail-oriented
