Responsibility
- completing Vat returns and MTD
- processing purchase and sales invoices, receipts and payments
- bank reconciliations and posting bank transactions
- A firm of accountants in Wigan has a position for an experienced practice bookkeeper to join their busy team. The role is offered on a permanent basis
- posting wages journals
- preparation of management accounts
- ensuring work is completed in a timely manner and deadlines met
- liaising with clients in a professional manner
Requirements
- experience gained in a similar role within accountancy practice
- AAT or similar qualified preferred
- strong organisational and communication skills
- experience of using a variety of accounting systems, ideally Sage
- experience in payroll processing would be advantageous but is not essential
- practice bookkeeping experience: 5 years
- bookkeeping: 5 years
