  • report any unusual activity, people, articles, or vehicles
  • interrupt building activities only if necessary
  • serve as a security authority at special events such as conferences and banquets
  • maintain control over building occupants and ensure that all building regulations are followed
  • perform required security guard duties such as locking doors, turning off lights, collecting keys, etc
