Responsibility
- conduct thorough MOT tests on vehicles, ensuring they meet all legal requirements
- utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to perform necessary repairs and adjustments
- maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and any issues identified during testing
- communicate findings clearly to customers, providing recommendations for repairs when necessary
- ensure the workshop is kept clean, organised, and safe at all times
- assist with heavy lifting of vehicle components as required during testing and repairs
- stay updated with changes in MOT regulations and vehicle technology
- team player
Requirements
- proven experience as an MOT Tester or in a similar role within the automotive industry
- strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use both hand tools and power tools proficiently
- capability to perform heavy lifting as part of daily tasks
- excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members
- relevant certifications or qualifications related to MOT testing are preferred but not mandatory
