Requirements
- experience of working to deadlines and targets
- previous experience in Automotive Manufacturing would be advantageous
- must have an excellent time and attendance record
- tool making apprenticeship
- previous busy factory/manufacturing experience is desirable
- competent use of mills and grinders
- willingness to multi-skill and learn products and processes
- experience of press tooling
Responsibility
- support 5s activities throughout the shop-floor
- to follow instructions to ensure maximum effectiveness and to adhere to safety guidelines
- actively participate in training and development activities identified for either personal and/or team development advancement
- to be prepared to undertake and support other reasonable requests made by the company
- to work in a small team unsupervised reporting directly to the Tool Room Coordinator
- promote a culture of working safely by working in a safe manner at all times complying with company Health & Safety and environmental standards
- maintenance and repair of press tooling
- contribute to continuous improvement activities, for example submitting suggestions to improve the process flow to increase the production cell efficiency or improve health & safety on the shop-floor
