- carrying out a variety of cosmetic repairs focusing on alloy wheel repair and refurbishment
- test batteries and other parts of an engine
- work effectively as part of a team of skilled Bodyshop Technicians
- conducting vehicle service in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and customer requests
- act as a multi-skilled Smart Repair Technician undertaking all aspects of repair as required
- inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical / electrical components to diagnose issues accurately, using computer-based technology
- act as a multi-skilled MET Technician undertaking all aspects of repair as required
- carry out repairs to standard alloy wheels and diamond cut alloy wheels using mobile D/cut repair lathe equipment
- fitting number plates
- carrying out mechanical and electrical diagnosis using to manufacturers guidelines
- check tyres and exhausts
- full use of PPE and adherence to health and safety requirements when carrying out repairs
- carrying out any additional repairs once authorised by the customer
- repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects
- you will ensure all repairs are completed in line with Lookers and manufacturers processes
- carrying out checks in line with manufacturers guidelines
- assisting the Service and Diagnostic technicians with vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical diagnose issues, using computer-based technology
- replace or repair faulty parts
- adhere to manufacturer repair guidelines when carrying out repairs
- warranty repairs are per the manufacturer’s guidelines and relevant write up is complete

- you will match alloy paint colours effectively and ensure the highest standards at all times
- fitting any additional accessories requested by the customer
- balance and re-align wheels
- liaise with other internal colleagues to ensure effective communication and teamworking
- taking the customers vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectified
- effectively communicate with customers to agree on what work is required and any associated costs are all approved at the outset
- vehicle health check and report any further work which may be required
- advising the customer/ manufacturer of any further work required
- check a vehicle's tracking
- ensure any administration or supporting documentation is produced in line with company process
- complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard
- road testing vehicles to ensure all work has been completed to the Lookers standard
- repair punctures
- complete Electrical and engine diagnostics and repairs
- ensure efficient working by adhering to defined repair completion times
- basic Servicing
- exhaust, Brakes and Suspension replacement
