Responsibility
- manage the workload of all operatives in order that delivery dates are achieved
- coordinate and oversee the workflow through the workshop
- organise the team to deliver high quality work and relevant quality controls
- build team working relationships with strong communication skills
- report on progress regularly in production meetings and identify any improvement necessary
- review, comment and advise on drawings / ordering materials
- maintain and develop good housekeeping within the shop floor area
- ensure all relevant health and safety protocols are adhered to
Requirements
- previous joinery or furniture making industry experience
- minimum of two years experience managing a team of 13 or more people
- in depth understanding of how bespoke windows & doors are made
- A confident personality who can take charge
- experience managing supervising and motivating production teams under deadlines
- good knowledge of computers and CAD drawings
- very good organisational skills are imperative
- people management: 2 years
