Requirements

  • at least 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, including knowledge of all food preparation methods, equipment, and recipes
  • A passion for food and a commitment to creating quality food
  • ability to work under pressure and remain calm under stress
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • ability to work well as part of a team and lead by example
  • must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • must be able to pass a background check and drug test
  • must be able to work in a high-volume restaurant setting

Responsibility

  • the Sous Chef is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the kitchen and assisting the Executive Chef with the daily food service and operations
  • other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or management team
  • ensure that all food is prepared according to company recipes and procedures
  • maintain cleanliness of kitchen area including dish machines, sanitizing utensils, cutting equipment, ovens and grills
