Responsibility

  • developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practice guidelines
  • planning and implementing a range of activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children
  • managing staff, including recruitment, training, and development of the team, and conducting staff appraisals
  • ensuring that the nursery environment is safe and secure, including carrying out risk assessments and implementing appropriate health and safety measures
  • providing a high standard of care, including meeting children's personal care needs such as feeding, changing nappies, and administering medication
  • promoting positive relationships with parents and carers, and providing a high level of customer service
  • working closely with parents and carers to develop a strong partnership to support children's learning and development
  • maintaining accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and development, and communicating this information to parents and carers
