Responsibility

  • we are seeking a passionate and experienced Nursery Nurse to join our professional team at Little Darlings Nursery
  • provide a safe, nurturing environment for children in our care, ensuring their health and safety at all times
  • assist in the planning and implementation of daily programs in accordance with our nursery's curriculum, based on the children’s developmental needs
  • monitor children's progress, identify any issues, and adapt activities to meet the individual needs of each child
  • work in partnership with parents and carers, fostering good relationships and sharing information about their child's development and daily activities
  • ensuring the safety and welfare of all children in your care at all times
  • engaging children in age-appropriate activities and promoting their physical, cognitive, and emotional development
  • support children’s emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts

Education

  • GCSE or equivalent
  • assisting with daily routines such as meal times, toileting, and nap times

Requirements

  • A relevant qualification in childcare, such as a diploma in childcare, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent is required
  • prior experience working in a nursery or early years setting is highly desirable
  • proven experience as a Nursery Nurse or a similar role in a nursery or childcare setting
  • A genuine passion for working with young children and promoting their development
  • an understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
  • excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods
  • strong organizational and time management skills
