Responsibility
- provide 2nd line technical support for hardware and software issues reported by users
- troubleshoot and resolve issues related to operating systems, computer hardware, and networking
- utilise help desk tools such as Jira, Remedy, and ServiceNow to track and manage support tickets
- collaborate with other IT teams to escalate unresolved issues and ensure timely resolution
- maintain accurate documentation of support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system
- assist in the installation and configuration of new hardware and software systems
- communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide clear instructions for issue resolution
- participate in ongoing training to stay current with technology trends and best practices
Requirements
- proven experience in a 2nd line support role or similar position within an IT environment
- strong knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques
- familiarity with various operating systems is essential
- experience with computer networking concepts and protocols
- proficiency in using help desk software such as Jira, Remedy, or ServiceNow is highly desirable
- excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality customer service
- ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users
