Responsibility

  • ensure the Compliance Advisory & Policy team has sufficient resources. Effective direct management of the Compliance Advisory & Policy team
  • lead on/assist with the implementation of regulatory developments
  • provision of accurate and timely advice to the business on regulatory matters
  • ensure that regulatory developments are monitored and their relevance and impact are communicated to the business
  • preparation and completion of regulatory reporting as required
  • provision of advice and guidance to the business on Compliance policies and procedures
  • assist in the day-to-day activities of the Compliance Team including required sign-offs and approvals
  • build a close working relationship with the different departments across the FS business and Compliance colleagues in various locations

Requirements

  • essential
  • educated to degree level
  • educated to A level standard
  • at least 10 years’ experience in asset management / investment funds compliance
  • experience of managing a team
  • good knowledge of UK regulation as applicable in an Investment Management business, particularly COLL, FUND and COBs
  • ability to establish and build business relationships
  • strong sense of integrity and ethics
