principal engineer
Responsibility
- driving the Data Security Strategy across all pillars and layers where corporate and / or personal data is present
- managing the data security team and active prioritisation of their workload, standups, retrospectives, sprint planning and performance management
- regular tidying-up of work items listed under the data security roadmap
- leading data discovery and classification efforts across the organisation and different tech stacks
- completion of projects, special assignments, and other ad hoc activities as required
- getting involved in the strategy, vendor selection of data leakage protections
- data Leakage Prevention controls, processes and operations across all Enterprise IT, SaaS and Cloud Platforms
- response to DLP alerts and fine tuning the tooling; more importantly to improve and automate this process
Requirements
- technical data security experience within Cloud environments such as AWS , GCP, Azure and SaaS
- demonstrable experience leading data discovery and classification efforts across a global organisation
- working experience and knowledge of CI / CD platforms
- demonstrable experience in using a Data Discovery / Data Loss Prevention tool across IaaS, Saas and endpoints within a global organisation
- can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy
- good interpersonal skills and compassion when managing people and stakeholders
- ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- an understanding of privacy principles and experience applying these within a global organisation
