Responsibility

  • managing the design process from initial concept presentation, through to sampling and handover to the Production Coordinator
  • conduct market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and constantly seeking design inspiration
  • collaborating with team members to select seasonal and one -off drop themes and creating new concepts
  • ensuring product is in line with the brand strategy and guidelines
  • in cooperation with the ST95 team, identifying opportunities to collaborate with relevant brands and properties that enhance the ST95 brand
  • working with the Production Coordinator on the selection of factory sources and the sourcing of new fabrics and garment furniture
  • working with the Product Coordinator and factories to ensure tech packs are correct and clearly communicated
  • reviewing product for style and fit during presentation

Requirements

  • degree in Fashion Design or Fine arts, or related field
  • availability to travel for research and product development
  • excellent design and conceptual skills
  • excellent sense of style and colour in keeping with the brand’s positioning
  • outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • ability to meet multiple deadlines and working to a clearly defined critical path for seasonal collections and quick response opportunities
  • 3+ years design experience in the men’s fashion market
