Responsibility

  • the Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the charity so that its aims and objectives are met
  • an exciting opportunity that would suit an entrepreneurial person who is passionate about supporting disadvantaged young people and keen to make their mark in their local area
  • A varied and challenging role, there is lots of scope for you to make it your own and you will be well supported by a passionate and committed board of trustees
  • there's ample room for you to be creative and involved in designing, developing and raising funds for service offerings
  • you will provide professional leadership and be accountable for all aspects of the charity's management and administration, operating within frameworks laid down by its trustees
  • as the face of a young and small charity that's looking to rapidly grow and scale, you will work collaboratively with the trustees and the charity's partner organisations - West Lea School, the Enterprise Cooperative Trust , the London Historic Building Trust and others - on a variety of innovative and rewarding enterprise projects and services
  • established in 2014, LFLC was formed through a unique partnership between West Lea School and the local community with a shared vision of empowering children and young people with learning difficulties and special educational needs or those who have been affected by illness, disability or poverty
  • through social enterprise projects and services, LFLC provides children and young people from across the borough with opportunities to work, make friends, explore, learn and make a difference in their local area
