  • to create a climate for learning through high quality teaching
  • to plan lessons and develop schemes of work, regularly reviewing their content for improvements and to ensure achievement for all
  • to ensure curriculum delivery is innovative and meets the needs of each student
  • to ensure teaching and assessment methods conform with the most up to date subject specifications and regulations
  • to keep up to date with subject developments commit to subject related CPD
  • to liaise with relevant staff regarding exam entries, access arrangements, timetabling, student welfare and wellbeing
  • to be familiar with student needs by reading relevant parts of EHCPs and consider these in planning, delivery and assessment
  • to complete centre paperwork e.g. student progression, attendance records, student reports
