Requirements
- A-levels or an equivalent qualification in a science-related subject are essential
- A degree level qualification in biological science or previous laboratory experience in research or industry is essential
- previous laboratory experience in either research or industry is desirable
- knowledge of molecular biology techniques, such as PCR, and microbiology techniques, practical or theoretical is desirable
- knowledge of microbiology techniques, practical or theoretical, is desirable
- enthusiastic
- methodical and organised
- willing to help as and when required
Responsibility
- support other members of the Leaf team
- support other members of the Leaf team, primarily in molecular biology and tissue culture
- plant production
- maintain laboratory, equipment, and working areas
- follow SOPs accurately and work safely following COSHH guidelines
- write batch reports and prepare experimental data for reporting
- undertake Health & Safety training
