Responsibility
management of trade counter staff, supporting, motivating, inspiring, coaching and leading your team
ensure the team work well together and are known by customers for their outstanding customer service
management of staff rotas, absences, lateness, annual leave, etc, liaising closely with the HR Manager to tackle reoccurring issues
ensure all sales orders, sales enquiries and quotations are done quickly and efficiently
liaise with customers both over the phone and in person, providing quotes, taking orders, resolving issues and offering product advice
briefing employees on current sales goals, promotions, and other relevant information
promote, improve and increase profitable sales for the Company by creating good customer relationships built on excellent service and developing agreed action plans in accordance with business objectives
communicate all relevant key information across the business as appropriate
Requirements
minimum of 2 years of experience working in the Timber and or Builders Merchant Sector
minimum of 2 years of sales management experience including managing a team
customer focused approach and the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers
A commercial approach to drive sales and maximise margins, whilst ensuring our customers always walk away happy
passion and energy to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business targets
good organisational skills, drive and leadership abilities to manage a team effectively
superb people management skills
the ability to engage with colleagues to help to achieve the company’s goals
