Responsibility
- read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout and dimensions of the structure
- lay bricks, concrete blocks, or other types of masonry units to construct walls, partitions, fireplaces, chimneys, and other structures
- use hand tools such as trowels, levels, and jointers to spread mortar and align bricks or blocks
- cut or trim bricks or blocks to size using saws, chisels, or power tools
- apply mortar or other adhesives to bind bricks or blocks together
- repair and restore existing masonry structures by replacing damaged bricks or blocks
- install and repair tile, stucco, drywall, and metal stud framing as needed
Requirements
- proven experience as a Brick Mason or similar role
- proficient in blueprint reading and understanding construction plans
- knowledge of different masonry materials and their applications
- strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects
- excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- familiarity with operating heavy equipment is a plus
- valid driver's license
