Responsibility
- perform bookkeeping tasks with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- prepare accounts up to the trial balance stage, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- handle VAT preparation, including accurate record-keeping and timely submissions
- assist with payroll and pension administration
- set up clients on cloud software platforms, providing guidance and support as needed
- liaise with HMRC and clients to address any queries or resolve issues promptly
- manage workloads effectively, prioritising tasks and meeting various deadlines
- supporting in training and development of junior staff
Requirements
- proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably in a similar role
- AAT qualified or equivalent
- solid knowledge of accounting principles and regulations in the UK
- proficiency in relevant accounting software and cloud-based platforms
- excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work
