oversee and manage the company's fleet of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and vans
develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
coordinate vehicle maintenance and repairs, including scheduling routine service, managing inspections, and addressing any mechanical issues
monitor fuel consumption and implement strategies to optimize fuel efficiency
track vehicle usage and maintain accurate records of mileage, maintenance, and repairs
manage the procurement of new vehicles, including negotiating with suppliers and ensuring compliance with company standards
ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding vehicle operations, licensing, and insurance
train and supervise fleet personnel, including drivers and mechanics

Education

Requirements

bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business, or a related field
proven experience in logistics, courier services, or a similar industry
strong leadership and team management skills
strong organizational and multitasking abilities to effectively manage a large fleet of vehicles
excellent problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise with vehicles or drivers
excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
familiarity with logistics software and tracking systems
proficient in using fleet management software or systems to track vehicle data, maintenance schedules, and expenses
