Responsibility
- support young people in maintaining their placement and engaging with education, training, or employment opportunities
- develop positive relationships with young people and their families or other relevant parties, such as social workers or other professionals
- promote a safe and supportive environment for young people, ensuring that safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
- maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including support plans and risk assessments
- work with the Young person on their independence skills
- work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the placement
- ensure that the Young Person is following the house rules
- adhere to all company policies and procedures
Requirements
- experience working with young people in a support capacity
- knowledge of the challenges facing young people who have experienced homelessness, family breakdown or other challenging circumstances
- good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop positive relationships with young people, families, and professionals
- an understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
