production manager
Responsibility
- team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of production operators to ensure high productivity and quality standards are consistently met
- production Management: Oversee the full production process, ensuring that targets are met on time and in line with quality expectations
- quality Assurance: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control systems to ensure all finished products meet the company’s high standards
- process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving production processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing waste
- safety & Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Promote a safety-first culture within the team
- maintenance Oversight: Manage the maintenance and upkeep of production machinery to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operations
- inventory Management: Work with the supply chain team to monitor raw material levels, ensuring production isn’t delayed due to stock shortages
- reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on production performance, including any challenges or opportunities for improvement
Requirements
- leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and train a team
- process-Oriented: Good understanding of production processes, efficiency optimization, and quality control
- problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
- safety Knowledge: Awareness of health and safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
- communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- experience: Proven experience in production management or supervisory roles, preferably within manufacturing or similar industries. Experience in woodworking or flooring production is advantageous but not essential
