Responsibility
- monitor entry and exit points to ensure the safety of guests and staff
- conduct regular surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems to detect any suspicious activity
- implement loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage
- enforce venue policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with licensing laws
- provide first aid assistance when necessary, maintaining a calm and professional demeanour
- collaborate with local authorities when required, including reporting incidents or disturbances
- maintain an organised log of incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts
- assist in training new staff on security protocols and emergency procedures
Requirements
- previous experience in a security role or as a Door Supervisor is preferred but not essential
- strong knowledge of loss prevention techniques and surveillance practices
- familiarity with CCTV systems and their operation is advantageous
- first aid certification is highly desirable; willingness to obtain certification if not already held
- excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with diverse groups of people
- ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively
- A valid Door Supervisor licence is required for this position
- bridgwater, Somerset: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work
