Responsibility
- manage all aspects of the residential children’s home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained
- lead, inspire, and manage a dedicated team of staff, providing supervision, guidance, and support
- develop and implement individual care & behaviour plans and risk assessments for each child, ensuring their needs are met effectively
- maintain effective communication with children, families, external agencies, and professionals involved in their care
- ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and safeguarding procedures
- manage budgets, resources, and administrative tasks efficiently
- promote a positive and inclusive environment that values diversity and respects the rights of children and young people
- monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of service delivery, implementing improvements as necessary
Requirements
- proven experience as a Deputy or Registered Manager in a Children's Residential Home
- level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or working towards
- sound knowledge of Ofsted legislation, regulations, and best practices in childcare
- strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- ability to learn from others
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- full UK driving license and access to a vehicle
- children's Residential Care: 5 years
