KENTON KARPETS is looking for employees for positions:

customer service representative

Working hours

  • full-time

Education

  • GCSE or equivalent

Responsibility

  • serving customers in the store, assisting with face-to-face sales and answering queries about our products and services
  • monitoring, replenishing and ordering stock for the store and warehouse
  • responding to customer and/or supplier queries in a timely manner via phone and email
  • data entry including keeping records updated and ensuring documentation is stored correctly
  • general tidying and upkeep of the store and warehouse
  • assisting with carpet whipping and binding as and when required
  • visiting customer houses to provide estimations for products and services
  • other general sales, customer service, data entry and housekeeping tasks as required

Requirements

  • you must be available to work 5 out of 7 days per week, including weekends
  • you must be able to travel to and from the store for all operating hours
  • you must be physically able to lift and/or carry stock for the store and warehouse at varying weights
  • as you’ll be handling cash, providing quotations and completing general data entry, you must be mathematically competent
  • previous experience in a similar environment would be beneficial but is not required
  • customer service: 1 year
  • A valid UK drivers’ licence would be desirable as you may be required to provide quotations at customer houses once trained
