purchasing manager
Responsibility
- develop and lead a purchasing strategy for the Group
- educate and support colleagues to adopt this strategy
- become familiar with and coordinate existing group systems to efficiently deliver best-in-class procurement
- managing relationships with suppliers
- manage quantity and timing of deliveries
- managing tendering process for new items
- review the markets to monitor and forecast trends to benefit the Group
- conduct research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality
Requirements
- in order to be considered for this role, you should be able to demonstrate a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role. You should have an organised and methodical approach to working, along with strong negotiation skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to deal with a wide group of internal and external stakeholders is essential
- preference will be given to candidates, who, is addition to the above, has experience within the hospitality Industry, is familiar with using Procurewizard and is CIPS Qualified
