supplier quality engineer
Responsibility
- improving the Supplier base quality performance through the means of second party audits defined within the QMS
- support the supplier during New Model Development
- manage supplier PPAP requirements during development and in mass production
- support gauge design and manufacturing, part measurement, and supplier part approval processes
- collaborate with the Design and Development team to assist in design and product validation testing
- assist investigations and troubleshoot product and production issues
- contribute to developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements
- complete performance reviews and establish action plans with the supplier / commodity
Requirements
- an ONC/NC in a relevant field such as Engineering, Quality management or a related discipline
- A HNC in a relevant field such as Engineering would be advantageous
- A demonstrable understanding of quality management principles, methodologies and tools
- A demonstrable knowledge of IATF16949 requirements
- certification as an Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor
- experience in conducting Second Party Audits
- experience with interactions of both suppliers and customers
- A willing to learn and develop quality assurance procedures and processes
