Responsibility
- to help provide a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage the learning and development of children
- supervise and deploy staff, imparting their knowledge and skills to others
- take an active role within the Management team
- to be responsible for providing high quality care ensuring all daily routines are followed
- to maintain a proactive and professional staff team
- to support other staff in their key person role. To help undertake inductions for new staff
- to ensure that the setting is a safe environment for children, staff and others, that the equipment is safe, standards of hygiene are high, safety procedures are implemented at all times
- safeguard children and maintain a safe, secure and caring environment to promote children’s well-being Provide high quality, stimulating learning experiences Take a leading role in suggesting and implementing new ideas and using a range of strategies to continually evaluate and improve practice
Requirements
- an early years qualification to Level 3
- willingness to attend in house and external training which might occasionally be in the evenings or at weekends
- experience of working in a childcare setting
- recent appropriate safeguarding training
- experience of working with and building strong relationships with parents/carers
- an understanding and commitment to equal opportunities
- A current Paediatric First Aid certificate
- experience of working in a pre-school/nursery setting
