- the Manager has 24-hour responsibility for the management of the Care Home
- to ensure the Care Home operates in accordance with the requirements of the relevant regulatory bodies
- through leadership and management strategies facilitate the development of the Care Home
- provide and maintain effective management and leadership promoting high standards of safely delivered personal care in a person-centred way
- to create a culture of resident focused and responsive services which are aimed at empowering and involving residents
- to manage and maintain agreed budgets taking corrective action and providing reports as necessary
- to assist in drawing up an annual development plan for the Care Home and review the implementation of the plan
- to ensure all new employees complete an appropriate period of orientation and induction
