Requirements

  • have or working towards NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • experience in supervising and leading a team of Carers
  • good communication skills and ability to work in a team
  • ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload
  • good knowledge and understanding of the care standards and regulations
  • good understanding of health and safety policies and procedures
  • ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing situations
  • positive attitude and a commitment to providing high quality care to the residents

Responsibility

  • to assist the Care Home Manager in the smooth running of the care home
  • to provide care for the residents and deliver the highest standards of care
  • to lead, supervise and motivate a team of Carers
  • the role of a Team Leader is to assist the nurse, deputy Manger and Care Home Manager in ensuring the highest level of care is provided to residents in the care home
  • to ensure that all residents have a care plan and that care is delivered in accordance with the care plan
  • the Team Leader will be responsible for supervising and assisting a team of Carers and ensuring that all care is provided in accordance with the care plan and the homes policies and procedures
  • to ensure that all residents receive their medication on time and in accordance with the care plan
  • to identify and report any changes in the health and well-being of the residents to the Home Manager/Deputy Manager/ Staff nurse
