- conducting quality checks to ensure furniture meets company standards before dispatch
- creating and using patterns/templates, accounting for properties of various fabrics and materials
- interpreting design briefs, sketches, blueprints, or patterns to guide production
- accurately measuring and cutting materials using manual and automated tools
- marking precise cutting lines on fabrics according to specifications
- occasionally communicating with clients to confirm preferences for colors, styles, or materials
- inspecting furniture frames, springs, and webbings for defects or damage
