Requirements
- professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, or equivalent
- ideally at least three years post qualifying experience
- experience in using cloud based accounting packages
- strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards
- proficiency in financial planning and analysis, budget management, and financial reporting
- excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
- high level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
Responsibility
- develop and execute financial strategies to support the club's short-term and long-term goals
- manage the club's budgeting, forecasting, management accounts and cashflow reporting processes
- implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets and mitigate risks
- coordinate the preparation of VAT returns, company secretarial filings, and other regulatory filings
- oversee payroll administration, supplier management, and oversee external HR and IT specialists
- lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
- provide strategic insights and recommendations to optimise financial performance and resource allocation
- supervise the administrative team and ensure efficient operation of office procedures and systems
