health & safety officer
Requirements
- recognised 3rd level H&S qualification
- minimum of 1 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role
- knowledge of ISO systems desirable
- full UK Driving Licence
Responsibility
- carrying out regular Health & Safety inspections and internal audits
- ensuring all relevant risk assessments and method statements are in place for all works
- to create and promote a positive Health and Safety culture within the workplace
- deliver internal training including induction for new employees and toolbox talks
- arrange and Chair company health and safety meetings
- document accidents/near misses and incidents, investigating and putting in place corrective action
- working with all staff, departments and management to ensure legal compliance with Health and Safety by implementing, maintaining, and managing Companies Health and Safety policies and procedures
- obtaining accreditation ISO 9001 with a view to obtaining ISO 45001 and ISO 19001 and carrying out internal and external audits
