general labourer
Responsibility
- assist skilled tradespeople such as bricklayers, roofers and carpenters as needed
- load and unload materials, tools and equipment
- perform basic demolition work, such as breaking down walls or removing old fixtures, under supervision
- perform site clean-up, removing debris and keeping the work area organized
- mix and prepare materials such as concrete, mortar, and plaster
- operate basic hand and power tools under supervision
- help with deliveries and proper storage of materials
- follow instructions from site supervisors and ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently
Requirements
- previous experience on a construction site is preferred
- willingness to learn and take on a variety of tasks
- good level of physical fitness and stamina
- ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- basic understanding of health and safety practices on construction sites
- CSCS card is preferred
- construction: 1 year
